This is KidsTravelwithJosh.com's ("Our Site") online privacy policy ("Policy"). This policy applies only to activities Our Site engages in on its website and does not apply to Our Site's activities that are "offline" or unrelated to the website.
Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Information:
A child may be asked to provide personal information on Our Site, which is usually limited to the child's first name (or initials), password, e-mail address, age, the state the child lives in, and the child's parent's e-mail address. It is Our Site's policy to collect only the minimum amount of information that is reasonably necessary to participate in a particular type of activities. In addition, if a parent participates in "Parental Advisory Board," we may collect the parent's first and last names, e-mail address, year of birth, mailing address, and the number of children the parent has. Such information can be gathered when feedback or e-mails are sent to Our Site, when a child registers in a game or sweepstakes featured on Our Site, or submits travel journal entries.

Travel Journal Entries. Kids who send travel journal entries or photographs to Our Site do so directly on Web pages housed on Our Site's servers. This is different from activities, such as chat rooms or message boards. A user's travel journal entries cannot be traced back to the child by other users of Our Site because no personally identifiable information is included. Sweepstakes and Contests. If a user participates in Our Site's sweepstakes or contest, Our Site will retain the user's e-mail address. Contest winners will be notified by e-mail or another method as described in the rules. U.S. FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS US FROM REQUIRING ANY CHILD TO GIVE ANY MORE PERSONAL INFORMATION THAN IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN A GIVEN ACTIVITY. In all such cases, a child has the option of providing us with personal information. A user may always choose not to provide the requested information, but the user then may not be able to participate in the particular activity that requires such information. If a child does provide us with the child's personal information, we will use the child's personal information to respond to a question, to respond to a request for information, to award prizes in a game or sweepstakes, or to request travel journal entries of particular destinations or of certain types of vacations (e.g., camping, all-inclusives, historical touring). We do not otherwise collect or use any child's personal information. WE DO NOT DISCLOSE ANY CHILD'S PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES. However, Our Site may be required to disclose personal information in order to respond to a subpoena, court order or other such request. Our Site may also provide such personal information in response to a law enforcement agency's request or as otherwise required by law. A child's personal information may be provided to a party if Our Site files for bankruptcy, or there is a transfer of the assets or ownership of Our Site in connection with proposed or consummated corporate reorganizations, such as mergers or acquisitions. |

Our Site does not use cookies, Web beacons, or similar technology to passively collect information about a child.

Our Site is not responsible for the privacy policies of Web sites to which it links. If a child provides any information to such third parties, different rules regarding the collection and use of personal information may apply. We strongly suggest reviewing such third party's privacy policies before providing any data to them. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties. Please be aware that our site may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. The information practices of those Web sites linked to our site is not covered by this Policy. These other sites may send their own cookies or clear GIFs to users, collect data or solicit personal information. We cannot control this collection of information. These entities should be contacted directly if there are any questions about their use of the information that they collect.
Security:
Our Site takes appropriate steps to ensure privacy, security and integrity of children's personal information, including through various hardware and software methodologies. However, Our Site cannot guarantee the security of any information that is disclosed online.
Opt-Out; Parental Rights:
After a child sends his/her personal information to Our Site for the first time, we will send notice to the child's parent's e-mail address to notify that the parent has the right to "opt out" of Our Site's collection of the child's personal information by directing us to stop using and collecting the child's personal information, and to delete the child's personal information. A child's parent may also request us to review the child's personal information collected by Our Site.
